30th Jan 2014

The Karratha Country Club in conjunction with the Shire of Roebourne (WA) has embarked on a bold plan to convert their current eighteen sand scrape greens to grass.

A technical consultancy team led by Richard Chamberlain Golf Design have been commissioned to co-ordinate the activities that will design innovative and cost effective putting greens. RCGD will lead the irrigation and agronomy team in an initial visit to Karratha in earlyFebruary 2014.

During this time they will assess the current golf course and evaluate the path forward with regard to the layout of golf holes, its irrigation requirements, grass selections and ongoing maintenance strategies for the club.
