Golf WA Office Closures
As part of the office refurbishment, the offices of GolfWA will be closed from 12pm Tuesday January 31 to Monday February 6. If the matter is urgent, staff can be contacted via their e-mail, the addresses of which are listed under ‘About GolfWA/Staff’ on the GolfWA website.
2012 Pennant Fixtures
The 2012 Men's Pennant Fixtures are currently being finalised.
The fixtures will be sent to clubs and published on the GolfWA website
before Monday, February 6.
The Women's Pennant Fixtures will also be provided during the week.
Bettencourt takes out Tasmanian titles
Mandurah's Hayley Bettencourt claimed the Tasmanian Junior Masters Girls’ Championship with rounds of 77, 74, 76 and 74, a thirteen-over-par total of 301.
Hannah Green from Mount Lawley Golf Club placed third with a twenty-over-part total of 308.
Behind Bettencourt was fellow West Australian Hannah Green who was leading into the final day but unfortunately had to battle with hay fever in her final two rounds to finished in third.
On the boys side, Curtis Luck of Cottesloe Golf Club Curtis Luck placed second in the boys overall on five-over-par with scores of 72, 74, 72 and 75.
The 2012 Tasmanian Junior Masters was held 23rd and 24th of January.
Bettencourt also cruised to victory at the Tamar Valley Junior Cup shooting eight under the card with rounds of 73, 76 and 71.
Green finished in second with rounds of 78, 77 and 76.
The 2012 Tamar Valley Junior Cup was held 26th and 27th of January.
Felton and Whitting take honours at Match Play
Gosnell's Jarryd Felton for the second consecutive year has taken out the boys division one title at the Junior Match Play Championships. He defeated Mount Lawley's David Hu by a score of 3&1 in the finals on Friday at Kwinana Golf Club.
On the girls side, Jessica Whitting of Mandurah took the honours with a 2up win over Hartfield's Gina Keum.
The winners of boys division two and three were Craig Lowry of Mandurah and Daniel Swainston of Lakelands respectively.
