Six of the state’s top talents have been confirmed as finalists for the 2025 Western Australian Golfer of the Year.
To be presented at the WA Golf Industry Gala Dinner on Friday, March 27, the winner will receive the Outstanding Achievement in Golf Award in recognition of their performances throughout 2025.
Superstar siblings Minjee and Min Woo Lee are joined on the list by fellow pros Jordan Doull and Ryan Peake, who achieved breakthrough wins on the 2025 Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia.
Meanwhile, leading amateurs George Barclay (Joondalup CC) and Spencer Harrison (Royal Perth) complete the list after both topped national orders of merit. Further details on all finalists’ 2025 achievements can be found below.
An expert panel of WA golf industry representatives decides on the recipient of the award, which went to Hannah Green last year.
In announcing the finalists, Brendon Allanby, State Manager WA for the PGA of Australia and Chair of the WA Golf Industry Awards Committee, said: “Our state has a proud record of producing top-level golfers, and 2025 was another outstanding year for our players at both professional and amateur level.
“Our finalists all achieved landmark successes at their respective levels, and all Western Australian golf fans should be very proud of them.”
Allanby also paid tribute to the achievements of a wide cross section WA golfers who also excelled throughout 2025.
“In the amateur game, Josiah Edwards and Ollie Marsh won several national ranking titles between them, while Hannah Green was part of the successful Australia team at the International Crown event alongside Minjee.
“Connor McKinney came through all three stages of DP World Tour Q-School, which is a fine achievement, and Maddison Hinson-Tolchard and Kirsten Rudgeley continue to shine on the Ladies European Tour.
“It just shows how much strength in depth there is at every level of Western Australian golf.”
