Scrivener a local favourite for WA Open

3rd Oct 2014

WA Professional Jason Scrivener is one of the many Western Australian’s poised to make an assault on their State Title at the John Hughes Nexus Risk Services WA Open at Cottesloe in 2 weeks time.

Scrivener will come to WA primed for competition, after competing this week at the Alfred Dunhil Links Championships on the European Tour.

The popular pro-am tournament, played on three of Scotland’s most highly regarded layouts in Kingsbarns, Carnoustie and the Old Course at St Andrews, extends invitations to players from around the world based on their performance on their home Tours.

WA’s Scrivener and Brody Ninyette will be taking part in this weeks event alongside European Tour regular Brett Rumford. 2013 WA PGA Championship winner Jack Wilson and up and coming professional Nathan Holman (3rd at last year’s WA Open) will also be taking part this week.

A product of Mandurah Country Club, Scrivener is in top form finishing fifth last week at the South Pacific Open Championship. After making the cut, Scrivener closed with rounds of 67 and 66 to finish at 9-under par.
