Finals weekend ahead for Women’s Pennants

21st Jun 2021

The 2021 Women’s Pennant Season is drawing to a close with the Division 1-3 Finals scheduled for this coming weekend.

Mount Lawley sit top of the table of Division One , and will be challenged by a strong field of Royal Perth ladies on their home turf. Mount Lawley will be chasing their 5th consecutive win, but will be missing their number one player Kirsten Rudgeley who is competing overseas. The teams met in Round three, with Mount Lawley having a confident win 5-2 over Royal Perth, however with depth in both teams it will be an exciting final matchup .

The Division One finals will commence on the 1st tee at 8.00am on Sunday 27th June, Mount Lawley Golf Club.

Division Two final will be contested between Royal Perth and The Vines, with Royal Perth sitting top of the league table by a healthy four points. Royal Perth did have a loss to Mandurah in the first round, and when last matched against The Vines only narrowly won the match by one. This contest will be a close one, with some clever and experienced match play golfers on both teams.

Joondalup will battle for the flag in Division Three finals against Gosnells Golf Club. The Joondalup girls have won 33 from 35 matches for the full season, so are likely favourites in this final round. With Maddie Large at the helm for Joondalup, and chum Sasha Hofman leading the Gosnells ladies, this will be an enjoyable final to watch.

The Division Two and Three finals will commence at 8.00am on Monday 28th June on the 1st and 10th tees at Lakelands Country Club.
