The $16m redevelopment of Marangaroo Public Golf Course has taken a major step forward, with a contractor now appointed to deliver the upgrades.

Hoskins Contracting will carry out the upgrade works, which are scheduled to be completed by late 2027.

The redevelopment consists of a new two-storey, 44-bay undercover driving range, a simulator and tuition room, new pro shop and changing facilities, expanded hospitality areas and additional parking.

City of Wanneroo Mayor Linda Aitken said the new facilities would make it easier for people of all ages and abilities to learn and enjoy the game of golf.

“Marangaroo has been part of our local golfing community for almost 40 years, and this investment will help ensure it continues to be enjoyed for generations to come,” Ms Aitken said.

“The new facilities will give experienced golfers more opportunities to practise and improve their game, while making it easier for beginners and families to get involved.

“It’s about building on what people already love about Marangaroo and creating a welcoming place for more of our community to enjoy.”

The works form part of a broader investment in the city’s public golf courses, with $10m also being spent on upgrades to the Carramar Public Golf Course.

Both courses are set to remain open throughout construction, though some temporary closures are expected in certain areas.

The City of Wanneroo owns the two courses, which are managed on its behalf by Belgravia Leisure.
