Brendon Allanby (pictured top), WA State Manager for the PGA of Australia and Chair of the Awards Organising Committee, said the new award category for off-course facilities reflect the changing face of the golfing landscape.
“The last few years have seen the steady growth of off-course facilities, such as golf simulators, entertainment-focused driving ranges and indoor game improvement studios.
“All play an important part in increasing the accessibility of golf and we’re very pleased to be reccognising WA’s best off-course facilities at the next awards.”
Three further new awards will go to venues that are driving participation through successful application of the national Get Into Golf and MyGolf programs, and initiatives specifically targeting women and girls.
