Inglis Twins impress at Primary School Championships

The 2018 School Sport WA GolfWA Primary School Championships took place on Friday morning at Royal Perth Golf Club, with 76 students from over 40 schools participating in the exciting event.

On a stunning winter’s day, Manning Primary School captured the Primary School Shield, with twins Jasper and Spencer Inglis claiming the coveted crown. The day of the twins continued with Zach and Ronan Nayer teaming with Danielle Ray Del Val from Kingsway Christian College to finish runner up.

The Modified Stroke Shield went to Charlie Strickland and Daniel Carew-Reid from Cottesloe Primary School with Karrinyup Primary Schools’ Aeon Day and Cora-Mae Clancey taking second place in the team event.

The individual event was close fought with James Dyer from St Dominics College winning the Boys Modified Stroke, Mandeep Singh from Scotch College in 2nd place and Jackson Hearn from Lake Gwelup Primary School finishing in 3rd place.

Shiloh Gilbert won the Girls equivalent with Kiara Smith from Oberthur Primary School and Cora-Mae Clancey in 2nd & 3rd place respectively.

Jasper Inglis had a second win for the morning taking out the Boys Stableford competition, with twin brother Spencer in 2nd place and Josiah Edwards from Kelmscott Primary School in 3rd.

Emma Clouston from Aveley Primary secured 1st place in the Girls Stableford in a closely contented fixture with Danielle Ray Del Val from Kingsway Christian College finishing 2nd and Isabella Leniartek from Como Primary School in 3rd place.

The School Sport WA GolfWA Primary School Championships is an even growing event and a wonderful opportunity for our young golfers to represent their school.
