Hot start to Drummond Golf Women’s Country Week

29th Aug 2019

The hottest Winter day ever recorded in Perth greeted players as they teed off in the 2019 Drummond Golf Women’s Country Week at Gosnells Golf Club. This sunshine appropriately coincided with the warm welcome these ladies gave each other on the first tee.

180 ladies graced the fairways of Gosnells Golf Club today as Drummond Women’s Country Week kicked off with Canadian Foursomes. Country Week is always a popular event on the calendar and women travelled from as far afield as Exmouth to play.

Wednesday’s scores weren’t quite as hot as the weather with a few “we are just warming up” giggles on submitting cards.

“It’s not just about the golf, its these gorgeous girls we get to catch up with each year that makes this event special,” one participant noted after the day’s play.
