Green selected again for Australia

23rd Sep 2014

Newly crowned Mount Lawley Ladies Champion Hannah Green will represent Australia in the inaugural World Junior Girl’s Golf Championship starting next week. Green will fly out of Perth on Tuesday to join her Australian team mates Karis Davidson (Queensland) and Jenny Lee (South Australia)in Sydney before flying to Canada.

The Championship will be played between the 26th September and the 1st October at the Angus Glen Golf Club South Course just outside of Markam, Ontario. The course is 35 kilometres north of Toronto and about an hour and a half drive to Niagara Falls where Hannah hopes she might be lucky enough to visit.

It is Green’s second Australian selection after playing for her country at the Queen Sirikit Cup this year in Malaysia.

The event comprises both a team event (3 girls from 15 countries) and an individual event to be played over 72 holes with the best two of the three scores counting daily. The Angus Glen Golf Club has hosted two PGA tour events and has recently undergone a redesign by renowned golf course architects Mackenzie and Ebert.

Hannah has earned her place in the team courtesy of her current number 3 Australian women’s ranking. Her team mates are ranked number 4 (Jenny) and 30 (Karis). Karis is currently the top ranked junior girl in Australia ahead of Hannah at number 4). The girls should make a formidable team.

Best of luck Hannah! We hope you have a great time and play well.
