GolfWA is seeking Expressions of Interest for State Coach & Manager Positions

State Coach

  • 2019 State Girls’ Coach
  • 2019 State Women’s Coach
  • 2019 State Boys’ Coach
  • 2019 State Men’s Coach

Certified PGA Professionals are sought for the above four vacant positions, with those who have Advanced Status (as per PGA ACE Credit requirements) preferred. The successful candidates must have access to suitable practice facilities and a golf course (any associated costs must be included in application). There is also a requirement to attend the 2019 Interstate Series from April 13-18 (Boys/Girls) and/or May 5-11 (Men/Women).

The role of the State Coach is to establish and fulfil successful strategy and training programs, with the focus of preparing our State Teams to perform at their peak. The influence of the State Coach would be to optimize performance within a team structure, match play golf and the intensity of the Interstate Series.

State Manager

Members of golf clubs affiliated with GolfWA are sought after for the above four vacant voluntary positions. Interested members may apply for one or more positions and successful applicants may fill multiple positions. The successful applicants will be required from April 8-18, 2019 for Boys’ and Girls’ Managers and May 5-11 2019 for Men’s and Women’s Managers.

The role of the State Team Manager will be to ensure the wellbeing and needs of our State Teams are met both on and off the golf course and assist in preparing athletes for the Interstate Series. The State Team Manager is expected to create and maintain an organised, cohesive and enjoyable team environment, to maximise the team’s performance potential within the Interstate Series arena.

Requirements:

Current full WA Drivers Licence (minimum C Class)
Current Working with Children’s Check (should applicants not hold a WWCC, if they are successful GolfWA will organise for the applicant to receive the WWCC).
Member of a golf club affiliated with GolfWA.
