GolfWA is pleased to announce the launch of the Junior Ace Programme within our High-Performance Department, with the exciting initiative replacing the previously existing Development Tier for our young WA golfers.
The first major step for the Junior Ace Programme will be the Metropolitan Draft Day on Sunday March 25th at Melville Golf Centre in Leeming, from 2pm-5pm. The Draft Day will involve a variety of opportunities for both boy and girl golfers to shine, with PGA and GolfWA facilitating the activities.
The day is completely free and open to anyone between the ages of 11-17, solely aimed at creating an environment for talented golfers filled with potential, eager to improve and wanting to take their golf to the next level.The programme has been implemented for boys and girls, supporting the GolfWA value proposition of “Creating Opportunity to Learn, Play and Grow” the game throughout metropolitan and regional WA.
The programme is set to create talent identification across all of the clubs and give young golfers the chance to not only show off their skills, but also be selected to participate in advanced training and coaching programs.
As mentioned previously, Junior Ace will be replacing the ‘Development Squad’ program from previous years, with the intention of the expansion to be reaching into the far corners of metropolitan and regional WA.
