Royal Fremantle will host WA’s inaugural Connecting Women in Golf networking event on May 28.
A joint initiative between Golf Australia, PGA of Australia and the WPGA Tour of Australasia, Connecting Women in Golf aims to build a thriving, inclusive and diverse community where women in golf are supported to grow, lead and belong.
The Royal Fremantle event takes place from 12.30pm-2.30pm on Thursday, May 28, with a theme of ‘Career Progression & Advocacy’. The event will feature a keynote speaker and networking opportunities.
“We’re delighted to be bringing Connecting Women in Golf to Western Australia for the first time,” said Tamara Mason, Head of Women & Girls Engagement at Golf Australia.
“Connecting Women in Golf is all about fostering meaningful connections, collaboration and professional growth for women working in golf.
“Professional development should be part of any role, and we’re changing the perception of what this looks and feels like for women in this industry.
“Only 21% of the paid workforce in the Australian golf industry are women, making events like this a great opportunity for attendees to meet, connect with and support other women who share and understand the challenges they face every day.”
The cost to attend the event at Royal Fremantle is $79 per person. Bookings can be made here.
