Jazy Roberts completed a comprehensive wire-to-wire victory at the Bowra & O’Dea Women’s Classic today.
The 21-year-old Victorian was in magnificent form during her final round at Mount Lawley GC as she carded a six-under-par 68 for a 72-hole winning total of 16 under par.
It left Roberts an incredible 17 shots clear of the field, with Joondalup Country Club’s Amie Phobubpa the best of the rest at one over par for the championship.
Roberts’ dominance over the opening two days of the tournament left little doubt as to the final outcome, as she held a 10-stroke lead heading into the closing round.
After describing her third-round 75 on Tuesday as ‘average’, Roberts immediately spent several hours on the range and putting green looking to reset her game.
Whatever she did seemed to work, as she came out of the blocks fast in her final round, birdieing two of her opening three holes to quell any faint hopes her rivals may have held.

She mixed a bogey with two more birdies before reaching the turn and picked up three more birdies coming home, her round of 68 matching the course record she set in her second round on Monday.
Roberts was delighted with the manner of her victory — especially after missing out on this title in a sudden-death playoff against Ella Scaysbrook in 2024.
“After losing that playoff two years ago, when I thought I had a really good chance of winning, it’s nice to finally win this,” she told GolfWA.
“There were a few really good players in the field here, but I just went out and played my own game, and I played very well today. I hit a lot of good shots and made a few putts, so I really enjoyed it out there.”

Despite the remorseless nature of Roberts’ victory, there were some very positive performances from the WA contingent across the week.
Amie Phobubpa overcame a slow start on day one to go six under par for her closing two rounds and claim the runner-up spot on +1 for the championship.
Reigning WA girls’ champion Kortni Houston (Lakelands CC) signed off her week with a fine three-under-par 71 to finish 3rd at +2, while 13-year-old Gosnells member Nalynn Kim hinted at her great potential with a fourth place finish another stroke back. Kim also claimed the Nett trophy.

The event also featured concurrent 54-hole Mid-Amateur and Senior tournaments, both of which were won in convincing style.
Gosnells’ Grace Cheetham finished 15 shots clear of Billie Burville to claim Mid-Am honours, while a best-of-the-week round of 81 helped Jocelyn Hutchinson (Wanneroo GC) close out a six-stroke victory in the Senior division.
