Lights Out Golf to launch new women’s programs

21st May 2026

Lights Out Golf is rolling out the red carpet for women in June with the launch of two social golf programs.

The Wangara-based indoor golf lounge’s ‘Tee & Coffee Club’ program commences on Thursday, June 4, with a ‘Mums & Bubs’ program starting on Tuesday, June 9.

Each program will run between 9.30am-10.30am on four consecutive Thursdays and Tuesdays, and will be led by PGA professional Glenn Paul.

The programs are part of Lights Out Golf’s commitment to make the venue as family-friendly as possible.

Venue co-founder Ellise Turrell — herself a mother to two young daughters — says she hopes the sessions will show how inclusive and welcoming golf facilities can be for women.

“I’m really excited about these sessions because creating a space for current golfers, the next generation and complete beginners is central to what we’re trying to do at Lights Out Golf,” she told GolfWA.

“Our Tee & Coffee Club is designed for women who want to learn, improve and feel confident without the pressure of being in a traditional golf environment.

“Mums & Bubs, meanwhile, is aimed at mothers who are new to golf or returning after a break, or those who want to socialise with other mums while giving golf a go in a relaxed, supportive setting.

“We want the programs to feel welcoming, family-friendly, and somewhere people can learn and enjoy the game in a relaxed way — especially those who might feel intimidated in more traditional environments.”
