Minjee Lee WA Golfer of the Year 2025

Minjee Lee has been announced as the Western Australian Golfer of the Year for an incredible sixth time.

The 29-year-old Royal Fremantle product was the recipient of the Outstanding Golf Achievement Award for 2025 at last night’s ADH Club Car WA Golf Industry Awards at Optus Stadium.

In another standout year in her illustrious career, Lee claimed her third career Major Championship at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship last May.

She was also part of the winning Australia team — alongside Hannah Green — at the International Crown championship and won the Rolex Annika Award for her collective performances across the season’s five Majors.

A fourth career Greg Norman Medal followed at the 2025 PGA of Australia Awards, and Lee ended the year in third place in both the Rolex Women’s World Rankings and LPGA Tour order of merit.

A panel of industry representatives selected Lee as winner of the Outstanding Golf Achievement Award ahead of fellow finalists George Barclay, Jordan Doull, Spencer Harrison, Min Woo Lee and Ryan Peake.

Lee’s award was collected on her behalf by Royal Fremantle Golf Club General Manager Lucy Guppy, who also stood in for Ritchie Smith after he was named the PGA WA High Performance Coach of the Year.

Smith, who coaches both Lee siblings as well as Hannah Green, Ryan Peake and Elvis Smylie, received the award for the third consecutive year after another sensational 12 months that saw his players win titles around the globe.

The accolade follows hot on the heels of Smith winning the Coach of the Year Award at the WA Sport Awards in February, and the PGA National High Performance Coach of the Year at November’s PGA Awards.
