Perth’s unmissable summer golf events

25th Nov 2025

Always ready to support pro golf events on Perth soil? Then mark your calendars for these two tournaments, coming your way in early January, 2026.

Blitz Golf Perth

January 4, 2026

Blitz Golf Perth

Dubbed the T20 of golf, Blitz Golf Perth returns to The Western Australian Golf Club on the afternoon of Sunday, January 4 for three-and-a-half hours of high-octane action.

The world’s shortest professional tournament is played over just 10 holes, with the field of 24 cut to 12 after six holes, then cut again after nine to leave only the top four vying for the title in a single-hole shootout.

There’s a quality field, with the confirmed line-up of pros featuring WA favourites Haydn Barron, defending champion Kirsten Rudgeley, Ryan Peake, Jordan Doull, Connor McKinney, Brett Rumford, Hayden Hopewell and Whitney Hiller.

Throw in a sprinkling of golf-mad sporting celebs – including AFL stars Josh Treacey, Elliot Yeo, Noah Long, D’Arcy Short, Jess Hosking – plus DJs, festival vibes and fun activities for the whole family and you have a great day out guaranteed.

Day passes are $20, while U12s get in free. Full details here.

Webex Players Series Perth

January 8-11, 2026

Webex Players Series Perth

The Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia returns to Royal Fremantle for Webex Players Series Perth from January 8-11.

Hosted by home-club superstars Minjee and Min Woo Lee (who sadly don’t tee it up beyond the pro-am), the mixed-field event was new to the schedule in 2025, when it was won by WA’s Jordan Doull, who claimed his first pro title in a gripping playoff against Haydn Barron.

The $250,000 prize purse represents an excellent carrot, so expect the best players on the Aussie men’s and women’s tours to support the event, which also features concurrent Junior and All Abilities Championships over the weekend.

Free to attend, Webex Players Series Perth is an unmissable start to the year for WA golf fans – and the biggest event on home soil until the WA Open, nine months down the track.
