Western Australian amateurs have made an assault on the World Amateur Golf Rankings after a string a great results over the past couple of weeks.

Jarryd Felton’s back to back wins at the NSW Amateur and Tasmanian Open has catapulted him into the top 50, now ranked as the 28th best amateur golfer in the world. The Gosnells member was languishing in the mid-300s late last year prior to winning the Mandurah Amateur and City of Perth Championship. Felton has continued his run in 2014, with two National Ranking victories as well as a runner-up at the Lake Macquarie Amateur.

On the back of two top five finishes in professional events, including a runner-up finish at the RACV Volvik Ladies Masters, Minjee Lee is back up to number three in the world. Her world ranking has also taken a boost, rising 134 places to 214 in the world.
