Joondalup’s Josh Greer chases Open start

Joondalup Amateur, nineteen year old Josh Greer has made it through to the preliminary regional qualifying round for the 149th British Open at St Georges at West Lancashire Golf Club on Sunday.

Josh shot a one-over 73 to just make it through to the final qualifying which will take place on Tuesday. The young Perth talent will need to achieve one of the top three spots to secure a start at The Open which commences on 11th July.

Josh participated in the International side for the Junior President’s Cup in 2019, and gained 4th place in the 2021 Australian Amateur Championships. He was recently part of the team that secured the Division One Pennants Flag for Joondalup Country Club.
