About High Performance
GolfWA is the governing body for men’s and women’s amateur golf in Western Australia and oversees the development of the game, including potential elite amateur golf athletes. GolfWA has a proud recent history of producing world-class standard golfers from the likes of Minjee Lee to Curtis Luck and Hannah Green.
GolfWA’s High Performance program is committed to providing aspiring golfers with the tools and support they require to succeed at all levels of the game while also building them into well-rounded young people.
The pathway is also set-up to provide avenues into club golf, coaching and a means to access to sport as active leisure so that all levels are covered. The program has been finely curated, in collusion with Golf Australia’s programs, via a tiered process that is detailed on this page.
Strategic aims of the GolfWA High Performance Department:
Produce nationally recognised golf athletes, capable of being in the world’s top 100 golfers
Be the leading state in the Interstate Teams competition
