University of Tennessee Sophomore and Golf Australia National Squad member Oliver Goss captured the second individual title of his collegiate career by carding a 54-hole total of 210 (-6) at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Goss capped off his championship performance with a season-low 66 (-6) in the second round, which also tied his career-low set at the 2013 NCAA Championship.

“Although I didn’t play too well today, it feels great to be back in the winner’s circle,” Goss said. “I’m stoked for the team to get our second win in-a-row and for Danny [Keddie] for finishing runner-up. My game feels good right now and I’m excited for the events in the near future. Hopefully, we can continue good form at the Floridian this weekend.”

The Tennessee men’s golf team put in a dominating performance at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate event.

From start to finish, the Volunteers convincingly led the field at Bobby Nichols. UT won the two-day tournament by 25 strokes with a total of 853 (-11).

The Bobby Nichols victory served as a great confidence boost for Goss as a date with the 2014 Masters fast approaches. After finishing runner-up at the 2013 U.S. Amateur, Goss earned an invitation to compete in Augusta, Ga.
