Madison Hinson-Tolchard will head into tomorrow’s final round at the Vic Junior Masterswith a chance at the title, finishing in third position after another solid day at the Churchill and Waverley Golf Club.

Hinson-Tolchard sits at three-over-par and six behind leader and top-50 player Yuka Soso with a day to play, with challenging conditions testing all of the golfers on Wednesday.

Adam Brady is the best-placed West Australian in the Boy’s competition sitting in a tie for 15th position at 11-over-par.

The Gosnells star believes she is a chance to give a strong showing tomorrow, playing percentage golf from the beginning of the tournament.

“Putting myself in good position off the tee, allowing myself to attack the greens,” Hinson-Tolchard explained.

Hinson-Tolchard is keeping her thoughts simple tomorrow, using her consistency to perform at the crunch moments

“Play steady, solid golf and keep myself in good positions so I can take advantage at the right moments,” she said.

Elsewhere, Josh Greer has continued his impressive start to 2018. The prodigy sits in sixth position in the Avondale Amateur, five shots behind leader Grant Booth.

Greer led after the first round of the tournament carding a 67, however the youngster fell away to record 73 on Wednesday and remain in the chasing pack.

Ben Ferguson has been consistent over the past two days to sit in 23rd position at three-over-par.

Robbie Morrison is the only other make the cut, with four WA boys finishing their event today.

Kirsten Rudgeley has made the cut on the women’s side, finishing in 19th position at the end of round two.

The Wanneroo player is at 12-over-par after shooting 83 today.

Australian Amateur Champion Suzuka Yamaguchi leads the Avondale Amateur at two-under-par, continuing her rise.
