History
The Australian Ladies Golf Union started in 1921 and 50 years later for their Golden Jubilee each state was given some money to hold a Jubilee Foursomes Event in 1971.
After the event, WALGU committee of the time decided to continue with the format of the Jubilee Foursomes with a sand green section added in 1973.

Golden Jubilee Event
There was some doubt whether to make this a perpetual trophy or not and the President (Mrs Eileen Dawson) gave her personal opinion that it should be. After some discussion, it was moved, seconded, supported and carried that the event be a Perpetual Nett Foursomes.
