Lee Goes Back to Back
Min Jee Lee of Royal Fremantle Golf Club has successfully defended her title and taken out the 2011 WA State Women's Amateur Championship. She defeated Grace Lennon (VIC) 4 & 2 on a rainy final day.

Presented at the State Championships.18 events are nominated as "selection events” and the player’s best 10 scores are counted.
Ivie was made a Life Member of Women’s Golf for her work in pioneering Women’s golf in Western Australia, and served as both Secretary and President. Originally she presented two trophies for best nett 36 holes, Seniors & Juniors, at the State Championships. Later the Junior Championships came to be played separately from the State Championships as match play was introduced, and the Senior trophy came to be given for the Consistency competition.

This event was introduced in 1958 and Women’s Golf provided the shield. Teams to have a minimum of four, and a maximum of six players.
