Primary Teams Championship

 Congratulations Coolbinia PS and Lake Joondalup Baptist College

The inaugural Golf WA and School Sport WA Primary Schools Team Championship were held at Lake Karrinyup Country Club on Monday 30th July. 69 kids participated from 23 schools playing 9 holes on the back 9 of the Championship Course for those with handicaps and on the Short Course for those without.

Coolbinia Primary School's Stroke Play team of Benjamin O'Callaghan and CJ Tsun shot a combined 95 around the Championship Course to take out the title by 7 shots from Winthrop PS 1, Silvester Tan, Ethan Lim and LeAnn Yap.

In the Modified Stroke Division played on the Short Course, Lake Joondalup Baptist College team member James Greenough, along with Thomas Patterson (Scotch) and Lucas Paddick (Davallia PS), shot 35 to help his team to a comfortable win. Holly Sleet (51) and Max Partridge (61) were the other members of the winning Lake Joondalup team. Curtin PS (Miguel De Leon, Ben Kerry and Joshua Nadan) were second with a consistent team effort of 101 ahead of Kingsway Christian College members John Stewart and Gerritt Venter (104).

Lake Karrinyup Country Club will host the inaugural Primary School Teams Championship being held on Monday, July 30. The Primary Schools Championship incorporates a team's championship for participants to represent their school. Participants with an Official Australian Handicap will play on the Lake Karrinyup member's course over nine holes. Those players without a handicap will play the Lake Karrinyup's famous short course. Prizes will be given to better individual scores for both boy's and girl's and the champion team.
