General
When are delegates meetings going to be held?
Under the GolfWA strategic plan, the intention of 3 metropolitan and 2 rural Delegate meetings will be held in 2012. Dates for these meetings will be advised in 2012.
Junior Golf
Would a club or junior have to choose between MyGolf and Pump Golf (a program by PGA)?
No. Both programs are different and a club doesn’t have to choose between running MyGolf or Pump Golf. MyGolf is targeted towards new or developing juniors whilst Pump Golf is targeted towards advanced skilled juniors.
Why should I enroll in MyGolf?
MyGolf is a National Junior Program by Golf Australia and it provides the MyGolf Skills Framework for standardised golf curriculum in all MyGolf Centres. Enrolling in MyGolf is easy and each participant will receive a welcome pack that includes bag tag, membership card, prepare to launch booklet, posters, certificates, personal liability insurance and access to the personal MyGolf Profile Page in the MyGolf website.
How do I enroll in the Girls Golf program?
Locate your nearest Girls Golf Club and contact them directly to enroll. Each centre differs in structure and fees but all of them are passionate about encouraging girls to play golf in WA.
What are the benefits of being a MyGolf Centre?
MyGolf centres will receive support and funding assistance from Golf WA and Golf Australia. MyGolf Centres will also receive the recognition of having a junior golf program in place at the club and are passionate about junior golf. Centres will incorporate the MyGolf Skills Framework in their junior golf curriculum and thus making golf, a more approachable and accessible sport for juniors.
