It all kicks off at the end of June with the Aglime of Australia Rural Bronze tournament. Moora Lake View Golf Club is playing host this year and it is set to be a great event.
Aglime of Australia committed to a three-year sponsorship deal of the Rural Bronze in early 2019. This sponsorship shows Aglime’s continuing support for the WA golfing community and GolfWA is extremely thankful for their contribution and commitment.
The Rural Bronze tournament is a 36-hole Stableford event open to women with a GA handicap of 22.0 and above.
An optional 18-hole Canadian Foursomes event is also held on the Friday before the event.
The Cobra Puma Junior Championships (formerly Callaway Junior Championships) return to Royal Perth Golf Club for 2019 and with them, they bring a new naming rights sponsor, Cobra Puma Golf Australia.
The Junior Championships have been a highlight of the GolfWA calendar for 39 years and 2019 will be no different. Entries are open to all affiliated golfers aged under 18 as of the opening day of the tournament.
Northam Golf Club will play host to the 2019 edition of the GolfWA Provincial.
The Provincial is a sister event to the Aglime of Australia Rural Bronze and follows a similar format. A Canadian Foursomes Stableford event is held on the Friday before 36-holes of stroke play on the weekend.
The event is open to all affiliated female golfers with GA handicaps of 21.9 and below.
The Drummond Golf 54-Hole Classic has been a feature of the junior golf calendar since 1982.
Minjee Lee, Min Woo Lee, Brett Rumford, Curtis Luck, Greg Chalmers, Hannah Green and Kim Felton are some of the past champions whose names adorn the leader board.
The 54-Hole Classic is played across three days and three different courses in WA’s South West region.
Margaret River Golf Club, Capel Golf Club and Bunbury Golf Club each play host to a round of the tournament.
The Smarter Than Smoking Junior Tour runs one of their events in conjunction with the 54-Hole Classic. This is a great chance for young golfers to experience new courses in Regional WA.
