The team at Pinjarra Golf Club are excited to offer a fun and relaxing five-week professional program where mothers can learn golf while their children are cared for at their friendly and supportive, free onsite creche.
Research shows that postnatal exercise can improve mood, reduce depression and anxiety, maintain fitness and promote a sense of belonging.
A dad himself, local professional coach Matthew Heath understands the need for quality childcare while mums take time out to learn a new skill.
“I have received a lot of feedback from mums expressing their interest in learning golf but have been at a loss as to who will look after their kids? This new creche provides the perfect opportunity and I am looking forward to meeting some new golfers,” Matthew said.
Tiffany Franklin, General Manager Pinjarra Golf Club hope mums who try golf will go on to make lifelong friends.
“To have mums come and try our clinics would be fantastic. Ladies golf is a very social outing, golf is only one component. Being a mum myself, I know how hard it is to go and meet other mums and participate in a social activity, as you feel a little isolated at home looking after children. So, with our offer of a free creche for a couple of hours, mums can forget about being just a mum and feel like an adult again.”
The program will run every Friday with two morning sessions available, from 9.00am to 10.30am or 10.00am to 11.30am at Pinjarra Golf Club. The creche is easily accessible with free parking and pram access. A light morning tea will be available and all golfing equipment is provided. The first session will be on Friday 17 May 2019.
The five-week professional program, which includes a trial one-month club membership at Pinjarra Golf Club, all for an affordable $50. All mums are welcome to join. Please call 9531 2588 or 9531 1252.
