As part of the Junior Ace Program, GolfWA’s Junior Talent Identification initiative, entries are now open for the annual Metro Draft Day.

The Draft Day is designed to create opportunity for young, up and coming junior golfers to showcase their skills in an elite training environment. The event will take place during the school holidays on Wednesday April 24th at Royal Fremantle Golf Club.

Across the session, junior golfers will engage in various testing and practice drills to enable GolfWA and the PGA Coaches involved to monitor and take part in talent identification.

The event is free of charge and open to all golfers between the ages of 10 and 16 (as of January 1 2019), with a maximum handicap of 18.4 for girls and 12.4 for boys. Places will be limited to a maximum of 60 entrants.

After the completion of the Metro Draft Day, the 2019 Junior Ace Training Squad will be selected as part of the High Performance Pathway.
