On International Women’s Day, GolfWA and Bowra and O’Dea are celebrating a significant milestone in 2019 as the partnership reaches 15 years.

The fifth generation, family-owned, Western Australian funeral company have been great supporters through naming-rights sponsorship of the GolfWA Bowra & O’Dea Women’s Classic.

GolfWA is encouraged by a recent rise in media coverage of women’s sporting events in Australia. This growth will lead to greater sponsorship opportunities for individual athletes and tournaments, a move toward equal pay and conditions for women in sport, improved support and greater respect overall.

Managing Director Bowra & O’Dea, Joe O’Dea says that his organisation has deep roots in Western Australia and is committed to giving back to local communities.

“At Bowra & O’Dea, we believe golf is the perfect lifetime sport for women from a physical, social and mental perspective and we are thrilled to be commemorating 15 years of sponsorship of the GolfWA Bowra & O’Dea Women’s Classic. We look forward to continuing our contribution of helping to grow the game of golf in Western Australia,” said Mr O’Dea.

On International Women’s Day 2019, GolfWA celebrates its partnerships that continue to demonstrate passion for progressing Western Australian women in golf.
