There has been mixed results around the world for the West Aussies in the past week, with Minjee Lee continuing to excel, while a plethora of Amateurs head overseas to ply their trade in America and the UK.

Lee, 21, who celebrates her birthday later this week, found her way to another top-20 finish, this time at the Kingsmill Championship.

The Williamsburg event was the second LPGA tournament in a row to be interrupted by severe weather, reduced to a 54-hole championship after 1.2 inches of rain on Saturday.

Lee finished tied for 19th at six-under-par with eventual winner Ariya Jutanugarn at -14 overall.

Hannah Green (+4) missed the cut for the same event.

Michael Long-WA PGA Champion

Brett Rumford and Jason Scrivener endured difficult weeks on the tour, with the latter missing the cut at the Rocco Forte Open in Italy.

Rumford competed at the newly-formed Belgium Knockout in Antwerp, likening the competition to that of the ISPS Handa World Super 6 hosted in Perth.

Oliver Goss missed the cut at the AT&T Byron Nelson despite shooting under par, with fellow Australian Marc Leishman finishing a narrow second to Aaron Wise.

New Zealander Michael Long clinched the WA PGA in Kalogoorlie last week after a course record final round 64, finishing one-shot clear of WA youngster Brody Martin.

Long’s win guarantees him an ISPS Handa PGA Tour of Australasia card until the end of the 2019 season.

Martin continued his hot-streak only days later to claim the Steelscene Ladbrokes Pro-Am by three-shots.

The 54-hole event was hosted by three different clubs, with Mandurah Country Club, Meadow Springs and The Cut all witnessing some terrific golf.

Finally, a host of WA Amateur hopefuls will jet off around the world this week to tackle some of the biggest Amateur events.

Min Woo Lee kicked off his tour with the US Open qualifiers in Japan, with the top three players granted entry into the Major.

Despite an early birdie blitz from the young star, Lee couldn’t match it for all 36 holes. The only Amateur in the field finished seven-shots back in 12th

Stay tuned to hear how the other men fare throughout their time away.
