Royal Fremantle remain the only unbeaten side in Boys’ Division One after two rounds of the Junior Pennant season in 2018.
Last year’s runners up were clinical on Sunday at The Western Australian Golf Club, defeating Mandurah 5-2, with Zac Capelli and Jake Anderson recording dominant wins.
Mount Lawley and Royal Perth couldn’t be split in their clash, with both sides fighting hard to halve 3.5-3.5, while Joondalup narrowly edged Cottesloe 4-3 in a tight contest.
In Boys’ Division Two, Gosnells, Melville Glades and The Vines made it two from two in opening their season at Royal Perth Golf Club, with all three sides equal on points at the top of the ladder.
South West/Goldfields pushed Melville Glades all the way but fell 4-3, while The Vines were too strong for Lakelands 5-2. Adam Brady was impressive for The Vines; with his counterpart Jose De Sousa leading his Gosnells side to an easy victory over Lake Karrinyup 5-2.
The Mount Lawley (Devils) continued their confident start to 2018, defeating Royal Perth 4-2 in Girls Division’ One at Mount Lawley Golf Club on Sunday.
Kirsten Rudgeley and Erina Tan were in form once again cruising to victories, while Amanda Gan was the other big winner over Aiyana Morris.
The Mount Lawley (Angels) got their season back on track with a comfortable win over Gosnells 4.5-1.5, while Royal Fremantle finished strongly defeating Lake Karrinyup 3.5-2.5.
In Girls’ Division Two, Mount Lawley wiped Kwinana 5-0 to get their season underway at their home course on Sunday.
Joondalup/Sun City and Royal Perth also managed victories in a tight competition, with only Kwinana (2) winless after two rounds.
WA Golf Club and Mount Lawley remain unbeaten in Boys’ Division Three after recording easy wins in their respective fixtures at Royal Fremantle Golf Club.
Led by Kaiden Gott, who secured victory 10&8, the WA Golf Club were 5-1 winners over Sun City, while Mount Lawley were 4-2 victors over Joondalup. Seaview gained their first points of the new campaign with a 3-3 halve against Royal Fremantle Golf Club.
In Division Four Boy’s, Gosnells whitewashed South West/ Goldfields 5-0 to maintain top spot, while Royal Perth and Sun City also recorded wins at Royal Fremantle Golf Club.
Pinjarra still remain anchored to the bottom of the table, yet to record a win in their 2018 season.
Three rounds remain in the Junior Pennant season, with round three taking place this Sunday 11th February at various clubs around Western Australia.
